It\u2019s shaping up to be a monster year (and beyond) for Brit-rock legends Cast<\/strong>, and they\u2019re not easing up anytime soon. Fresh off their reunion with Oasis for a run of stadium shows, they\u2019ve just dropped some massive news: a brand new album<\/strong> titled \u2018Yeah Yeah Yeah\u2019 will land on January 30, 2026<\/strong> via Manchester indie label Scruff of the Neck Records<\/strong>. And if that wasn\u2019t enough, they\u2019re returning to U.S. stages for the first time in nearly three decades<\/strong>, with their own headline date and slots alongside Oasis<\/strong> and<\/em> The Brian Jonestown Massacre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album announcement comes hand-in-hand with a swaggering new single,\u00a0Poison Vine<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, featuring none other than soul icon\u00a0P.P. Arnold<\/strong>. If you\u2019re into gritty grooves and powerhouse vocals, this track delivers both in spades. Cast frontman\u00a0John Power<\/strong>\u00a0calls it \u201cthe real thing\u201d\u2014and honestly, we\u2019re inclined to agree. P.P. Arnold, fresh off a show-stealing Glasto set, brings serious soul weight to the mix, echoing the vibe of Merry Clayton\u2019s legendary cameo on Gimme Shelter<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Surprise Album with Serious Firepower<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yeah Yeah Yeah<\/em> wasn\u2019t part of the plan\u2014at least not yet. John Power had some sketches and song ideas in his back pocket, but a last-minute opportunity to record appeared in late 2024. Everything lined up: legendary producer Youth<\/strong> (The Verve, Pink Floyd, Primal Scream) had space at his Space Mountain studio<\/strong> in Spain, and the band was ready to go. Cue a burst of creative energy as Power, guitarist Liam \u2018Skin\u2019 Tyson<\/strong>, and drummer Keith O\u2019Neill<\/strong> dove headfirst into the sessions\u2014arriving just in time for the almond trees to blossom (a good omen, naturally).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result? A record that feels wide open and full of life. Expect everything from gospel-tinged anthems and classic Cast melancholia to flashes of psychedelic funk and gentle, acoustic beauty. It\u2019s a big, bold collection that aims higher than just \u201cvibes.\u201d As Youth himself puts it, they were trying to capture something majestic<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P.P. Arnold\u2019s Soul Stamp<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPoison Vine\u201d gives us a juicy taste of what\u2019s to come. That signature John Power hook is there, but this time it\u2019s riding a darker, heavier groove\u2014and when P.P. Arnold\u2019s vocals hit, it\u2019s absolute lift-off. Known for iconic solo hits like \u201cThe First Cut Is the Deepest\u201d and her work with Ike & Tina Turner, Nick Drake, Peter Gabriel, and even Oasis, Arnold brings a timeless energy to the track. She clicked with Youth just days before the session, and now she\u2019s set to appear on a second track from the album as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limited Editions & Signed Surprises<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Yeah Yeah Yeah\u2019 will drop on vinyl, CD, cassette, and all digital platforms<\/strong>, but collectors, take note: there’s a liquid-filled 12\u201d vinyl<\/strong> version that looks like mouthwash (yep), signed by the band and limited to just 100 copies<\/strong>. The first 500 physical orders from Cast\u2019s store will also get a signed print<\/strong>, so don\u2019t sleep on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cast Hits the U.S. (and a Whole Lot More)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fans across the pond, rejoice: Cast are finally returning to the U.S. for the first time since the ’90s. They\u2019ll headline Sony Hall in NYC<\/strong> on September 3<\/strong>, with additional appearances opening for Oasis<\/strong> in New Jersey and L.A.<\/strong>, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre<\/strong> in New York and Philly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in the UK, the band is celebrating 30 years of their landmark debut album \u2018All Change\u2019<\/strong> with a full-blown anniversary tour later this fall. Expect a healthy dose of nostalgia alongside the new material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
