Get ready\u2014SCH\u00d8\u00d8L<\/strong> is releasing their debut album \u2018I think my life has been OK\u2019 on September 5<\/strong> through G\u00e9ographie<\/strong> (the label behind Marble Arch, Bad Pelicans, Dog Park, Good Morning TV, and other underground gems).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formed in Paris in the fall of 2023, SCH\u00d8\u00d8L is the sound of a daydream turned all the way up. The band features a stacked lineup: Francis Mallari<\/strong> (Rendez-Vous), Erica Ashleson<\/strong> (Special Friend, Dog Park) on bass, Jack Moase<\/strong> (Liquid Face) on guitar, and Alex Battez<\/strong> (Marble Arch) on drums. They came together to create the band they fantasized about as teenagers\u2014one that captures the noisy charm and melodic swirl of \u201890s shoegaze heroes like Swirlies<\/strong> and Drop Nineteens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You might already know them from their buzzing track N.S.M.L.Y.D<\/em><\/strong>, a song that\u2019s earned them some well-deserved early hype. But now, with a full-length album on the horizon, SCH\u00d8\u00d8L is ready to show what they\u2019re really about. This record feels like walking through the fog of your own memory\u2014part sweet, part bitter, totally immersive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
