Ithaca, New York based duo Lore City have released a dark and infectious 8 track LP titled “Absence & Time”, and the band fittingly describe themselves as delivering “Grunge-infused ballads hurtling towards you from space.” Take a listen to the album via Bandcamp below.
Lore City is Laura Mariposa on vocals and guitar/keys and Eric Bessel on lap steel, guitar, ebow and percussion. Lore City formed in 2011, and a year later traded Brooklyn life for upstate New York where they relocated to Ithica. Only two months, they started recording in a converted church studio which created their self-titled debut. All songs recorded, mixed, and mastered by William Russell at Electric Wilburland in Newfield, NY.
