Stubbleman unveils his fresh new track, In The Company Of Oaks, now available through Crammed Discs and PIAS.

Ahead of his second album, ‘1:46:43 – The Ventoux Trilogy’ – launching June 6 via Crammed Discs, Stubbleman takes us on a mesmerizing musical journey inspired by the legendary Mont Ventoux cycling ascent. By transforming real-time ride data—heart rate, speed, power, and cadence—into evolving modular synth sequences, he crafts a soundscape that mirrors the mountain’s shifting moods. Over 18 compositions spread across three movements, the album paints a vivid picture of a single ride, using four parameters to explore a landscape of recurring themes and dynamic variations.

In the Company of Oaks introduces us to the album’s second chapter, where the path winds into a dense, towering forest. Imagine a steep, unyielding grey tarmac rising sharply, cutting through a cathedral of ancient oaks. Their intertwined branches filter the sunlight into dancing patterns on the road below. The atmosphere is heavy with the aroma of pine and earth—a blend of calm and intensity. Every breath feels weighted, every pedal stroke deliberate, as the quiet solitude of the climb settles in. In this moment, the only sounds are the measured rhythm of breath, the steady whir of the chain, and the gentle rustling of leaves stirred by a passing breeze.

More than just a tribute to cycling, ‘The Ventoux Trilogy’ is a deep meditation on human endurance, solitude, and the raw beauty of nature—a sonic exploration of life’s struggles and the delicate balance between despair and hope.

Experience the journey of sound and immerse yourself in the 3D adventure of Earth as you follow along.
