Martin Eden reveals new track ‘Short Cut’

Martin Eden Press shot

Martin Eden will release his album ‘Dedicate Function’ via Lefse Records on Oct 9 and he has revealed the first track lifted from the album titled, Short Cut. Take a listen to the track via Soundcloud below.

Martin Eden is the latest project by Matthew Cooper who started making music under the name Eluvium in 2003. According to the label, ‘Dedicate Function’ is made up of off-kilter beats and unidentifiable instrument loops and keyboard swells. It somehow manages to be cold and alien and warm and human simultaneously. The album’s centerpieces, Verions and Hum, are obviously influenced by The Field, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, and Kraftwerk, while still sounding unique.
