Last week, Muse launched the Social Connectome (connectome.muse.mu), a 3-D Google Chrome visualization of their fanbase, based on the Human Connectome project which inspired the artwork for the band’s forthcoming new album “The 2nd Law“, due out on October 2 via Warner Bros. Records.
The Social Connectome enables people to add themselves to a 3-D visual network of Muse fans, create their own branch of friends and unlock an exclusive track from “The 2nd Law“. As more fans join the network, incremental 30-second clips of the new track “The 2nd Law: Isolated System” will be unveiled. The Connectome can be moved in 3-D space, zoomed in and will pulse to the music when the track is unlocked.
