Following on from their debut album ‘3D Routine’, Leeds art rockers Mush have shared their new single Dead Beat and details of their upcoming five track 7” EP ‘Great Artisanal Formats’. The EP will be released via Memphis Industries on 29th August for Record Store Day 2020. Listen to Dead Beat via YouTube below.

Dead Beat is classic Mush, taking a basic punk tune and turning it on its head with freaky tuning. Dan Hyndman describes Dead Beat as follows: “Dead beat is one of our oldest songs. We toyed around with having it on ‘3D Routine‘ but for some reason it felt more at home among the shorter, zanier tracks of the RSD release. I think when i wrote it i was still working in an office as a data monkey, it has that data driven angst to it. Thankfully those days are done.
