Music Video Addiction: Sunday July 10, 2011 edition

Music Video Addiction

You would think that we would have a Honda Indy themed edition of the weekly music video picks since it currently happening in Toronto. We have chosen to again not have a theme, but instead, just bring you some great music videos. We hope you like what we picked for you this week.

Digitalism: Digitalism in Cairo – great track with a sample from The Cure.

Sounds Like Violence: You Give Me Heartattacks – love the vocals on this track.

My Pet Genius: Anjelika in Jhericurl – an unknown band that is no longer, but so good.

Wire: Eardrum Buzz – crappy video, but catchy track.

The Automatic: Recover – such a great chorus which totally makes you sing along.

Jesus & Mary Chain: Never Understand – vintage J & MC with Bobby Gillespie on drums.

That’s it for this week. We will be back next week with more music videos for your listening and viewing pleasure.

Thanks,
Cameron from Culture Addicts

  1. Hey Cameron,

Evan from My Pet Genius here. So you stumbled on that nugget from 1996? Thanks for the kind words. Happy to report that we’re currently working on a colossal double album of material culled from the years we seemingly disappeared. One side is mellow, flaming lips/love and rockets inspired while the other side is hard-hitting like our “Might Strike Satellite” EP from 96. Keep your eyes and ears open.

    Evan.

    • No problem – really love your stuff and very ahead of your time. Thanks for popping by. I am excited to hear that you are back on the scene (and I will update the video post accordingly). Drop me a line at info@cultureaddicts.com – I’d love to hear more about what you have been up to / planning for the release.

      Thanks,
      Cameron
