Eight and a Half are the most recent signing to Arts & Crafts roster. The band consists of Justin Peroff (from Broken Social Scene) and ex-The Stills Dave Hamelin and Liam O’Neil. Eight and a Half is synth heavy with a dark, moody yet beautiful sound on their first track, Scissors. They have also already received coverage from from Spin, Prefix and Consequence Of Sound and this was all prior to the single even being officially announced by the band.
Eight and a Half is offering Scissors for free download on SoundCloud and Eight-and-a-Half.com. A remix of the Scissors from L.A. based remixer TOKiMONSTA on Soundcloud and available for download exclusively from RCRD LBL right now.
The band’s debut full-length album is expected to be released through Arts & Crafts in early 2012.
