New Wave icon Howard Jones launches smart phone app

Electronic music pioneer Howard Jones has just launched a free new smart phone app to accompany the forthcoming premiere performances of his new multi-media project, ENGAGE. The app is available now and will come to life at ENGAGE performances later this month and beyond. The London premiere of ENGAGE will be on Friday, February 20 at Indigo At The O2, whilst the Los Angeles premiere will be at the Saban Theatre on Friday, February 27. Also included is the exclusive new track, Human Touch, taken from ENGAGE, available only to those who download the app.

Imagined by Howard Jones and created by Simon Fletcher of SPACESTREAM.com, Howard Jones’ ENGAGE app for iPhone can be downloaded here and here for Android.

Entirely fan-funded by PledgeMusic, ENGAGE is Howard Jones’ most ambitious work to date, incorporating specially-commissioned visuals with music and an interactive live show. ENGAGE is inspired by the electronica, contemporary classical and pop musical genres, combined with other visual and literary arts such as ballet, modern dance and philosophy. The audience can participate via the new ENGAGE smart phone app, customized clothing and fluorescent make-up. Watch the official trailer via YouTube below.
