Orchin

OrchinOrchin have released the video for their track I Think I. Orchin is a dark pop project from LA-based Jeremy McLennan. Raised between Sydney, Australia and Los Angeles, McLennan is the band’s frontman, songwriter and producer. Watch the video via YouTube below.

Orchin plays live as a four-piece with Peyton Wilson on guitar, Nathan Castiel on bass and Griffin Kisner on drums.

Orchin songs play with form and effects, and draw from the moods of dystopian fiction, nostalgic Nintendo games and anything sci-fi. McLennan’s favorite artists include Cocteau Twins, Arthur Russell, The Smiths and New Order.

Orchin arrived in June 2016 with double single Dark/Wasting Time and has been keeping busy since. Their follow up One/If I Ever premiered later in the summer, and the band’s self-titled debut EP, led by single Ego Deathbed, was released in March 2017. They’ve received praise from outlets such as the Fader and Stereogum, and play often in East LA.

Even with the recent release of their EP, Orchin never stops recording at their home studio in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, and the band plans to release several more songs this year. The first of these is I Think I, written and recorded in April. Orchin’s new material is more minimal and raw, but maintains the same lush pop sensibility as their previous releases.
