Toronto punk heroes PUP are back and louder than ever. Their highly anticipated new album, ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?,’ drops on May 2nd via Little Dipper and Rise Records, delivering a raw, cathartic burst of energy that only PUP can muster. Known for their brutally honest, self-deprecating anthems, PUP’s latest full-length is their most immediate, no-frills, and hard-hitting record yet.
Recorded in a lightning-fast three-week session in Los Angeles with producer John Congleton, ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?’ is the culmination of a decade of relentless touring and the electrifying chemistry that defines PUP. Over 12 tracks, frontman Stefan Babcock bares his soul, delving into his most personal relationships—romantic, fraternal, and his fiercest battles with himself. The album captures a unique balance of unpredictable mayhem and introspective growth, blending explosive punk riffs with moments of surprising vulnerability.
Fans can kick off the experience with the album’s lead single, Hallways. Bracing and raw yet laced with an undercurrent of optimism, Hallways is the first song Babcock penned for this record. With lyrics like “Cause when one door closes, it might never open / There might be no other doors,” the track resonates with anyone who’s ever felt both the sting of loss and the thrill of possibility. Babcock reflects on its creation, “Within days of announcing our last album, my life imploded. I wrote ‘Hallways’ during a wild, chaotic week—it’s raw, personal, and, in its own way, hilariously overdramatic. Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself to climb out of the abyss.”
Critics have long celebrated PUP for their relentless energy and unfiltered honesty. Now, with ‘Who Will Look After The Dogs?,’ the band proves that even after years of self-destruction and raw emotion, there’s a newfound joy and optimism in making music together. Stripping away the perfectionism that once held them back, the band rediscovered the pure thrill of creating loud, honest punk rock with their closest friends.

The album’s tracklist is as uncompromising as its title:
- No Hope
- Olive Garden
- Concrete
- Get Dumber
- Hunger For Death
- Needed To Hear It
- Paranoid
- Falling Outta Love
- Hallways
- Cruel
- Best Revenge
- Shut Up
