Purrses, a glam wave and art rock outfit led by Laura Ruggiero, brings a captivating mix of influences to the table. Their sound merges the wild spirit of 70s and 80s rock with the raw energy of punk, all wrapped up in a modern, pop-infused style with a touch of rap-edged lyricism.
Following a self-produced debut EP and a fully analog-recorded second EP, Wrong Tide, released on three independent Belgian labels, all eyes are now on their debut album ‘Reality Fantasy’. This long-awaited record will hit vinyl and digital platforms, marking a bold new chapter for the band.
The striking music video was crafted by Hugo Boutry, a Brussels-based photographer known for his contemporary aesthetic and digital glitches. Filmed last winter in Anderlecht, the video is a visual tribute to urban wandering and the lure of bad influences. Its deliberately distorted look channels the raw energy of classic hip-hop videos, while the heavy guitars drive the track into a gritty, urban realm—a dark, twisted homage to a uniquely hybrid sound.
