New single Willow + tour dates with Blondshell, Slow Pulp, and Softcult

After two years of simmering silence, Minneapolis dream-poppers she’s green are back with ‘Chrysalis’—a shimmering, emotional EP landing August 15, 2025 via Photo Finish Records. The five-track collection dives headfirst into the band’s atmospheric world-building and lyrical honesty, led by the brand new single Willow, which dropped today alongside a stunning visual.

Willow sees bandleader Zofia Smith wandering through a sun-dappled forest, her voice floating between melancholy and hope as sunlight cuts through the trees. There’s a clear sense of loss, but also a flicker of something softer—an acknowledgment of how our relationship with nature shapes us, even as it fades.

“She’s green” describes the track as “a reflection on our dying relationship with the natural world—a relationship that’s not always loving, but formative nonetheless. It’s an energetic song that we love playing live.”

The video captures that balance perfectly. As the imagery blurs into abstraction by the end, Smith’s voice carries a mix of vulnerability and resolve, channeling a quiet, resonant ache. It’s dreamy, it’s raw, and it feels deeply human.

‘Chrysalis’ also includes the band’s recent singles Graze and Figurines, which first cracked open the next chapter for she’s green earlier this year. Those tracks marked their return after 2023’s ‘Wisteria,’ the breakthrough EP that earned them Reddit buzz and critical love from outlets like PAPER MagazineThe Current, and Atwood. Tracks like Mandy and Syndulla struck a chord with their moody textures, emotional grit, and a sound that’s both nostalgic and totally fresh.
