Sheffield’s Sister Wives return with their electrifying new single, Malady—their first release since the 2022 Welsh Music Prize-nominated debut album, ‘Y Gawres’.

A hypnotic fusion of psych, drone pop, and grunge, Malady pulses with raw energy, defiant spirit, and folklore-infused lyricism. Sister Wives have carved out a space where myth, feminist histories, and the mysteries of ancient landscapes collide, blending Welsh and English lyrics into their unmistakable sound.

The band describes Malady as “an inner beast waking up inside your body—backing you up, empowering you to stand against bad men. It’s about the way strong women frighten these men, and how that power has historically been dismissed as a sickness, madness, or ‘malady’…”
