Smiling Disease (AKA Oliver Moss, also in Evans the Death) is proud to announce their official debut album: a best-of compilation spanning 6 years of esoteric bedroom brilliance. ‘Beach Bodies: 2008-2014’ will be out in March on cassette and digitally via DIY label Memorials of Distinction. Oliver has been quietly writing music over the last 6 years – all of which painstakingly recorded through a Skype microphone into Audacity. The resulting music is a genre sprawling pastiche of shimmering shoegaze, IDM, ’60s psychedelia, trip-hop, acid house, goth, ambient, and art pop. ‘Beach Bodies’ comes with an enormous .zip folder of bonus material. There are four full length albums of chronologically divided Smiling Disease tracks, including some formative works by a 14 year old Smiling Disease.
