Sound of Ceres has announced their debut release, ‘Nostalgia for Infinity,’ which is due out March 4th via Joyful Noise Recordings. The album is currently available for pre-order, with 300 VIP copies available on aqua blue & white vinyl. More about Sound of Ceres? Sound of Ceres formed in 2014, after Karen & Ryan completed a perfect triumvirate of Candy Claws albums. Where their previous project explored terrestrial realms like the ocean and the forest, Sound of Ceres contemplates all of space and time, and the human place within in. The band draws influence from a vast array of genres and decades, pulling as much from mid-century lounge music and ’70s nature documentary soundtracks as ’90s shoegaze and modern sampling techniques. The Colorado-based band is led by Karen & Ryan Hover of Candy Claws, who are joined by members of the Apples in Stereo & the Drums.
