SPAER shares new single + video ‘Silo’

SPAER

SPAER has shared his new video for Silo which features Money Penny, which is the final song he’s sharing ahead of the release of his debut album ‘Vol. 1’ on April 13th via Axis Mundi Records. The ethereal single is also officially out now (buy/stream), following the two visceral songs he previously shared, For You (buy/stream) and Critter (buy/stream). Watch or stream Silo below.

SPAER also just announced his album release show, which is happening on April 27th at Brooklyn Bazaar, with support from his label mates Dominic Apa (Is Tropical), a modular set from his Psymon Spine bandmate Brother Michael, along with a DJ set from KOALA ZONE aka Graham Dickson from Crystal Fighters (also co-founder of Axis Mundi Records).

More about SPAER? SPAER is the cerebral new avant-garde psych-pop side project from the audio/visual artist and producer Peter Spears, one of the founding members of the acclaimed Brooklyn psych band Psymon Spine. Like a baby with a mustache, the sounds on ‘Vol. 1’ are inviting but ominous. Joined by a host of vocalist collaborators, soothing harmonies and bright guitars sit on top of a bed of skull-rattling bass and geometric drums; the springs under the mattress jab the listener when least expected, while precise electronics stand side-by-side with raw organic vibrations, like a vendor selling hard drives and bok choy.
