SurachaiSurachai, the musician/producer who is set to release his new album, ‘Come, Deathless,’ on January 25 via BL_K Noise, has shared the video for Empress of the Starved Lung. The track is lifted from the album and you can watch it via YouTube below.

“Joey is a musical hero of mine, someone that made performing with Moog’s and keyboards actually cool to me,” said Surachai of the track that includes a guest Joey Karam (The Locust/One Day As A Lion). “He’s meticulous in the way he writes and whatever material I threw at him, he would write every nuance and detail. I’m excited that he’s got a new project called Fahih with Kevin Avery (drummer of Retox) that’s playing a show in Long Beach, Calif. At a venue called 4th St. Vine on December 26th. Yeah, I’m using this opportunity to promote someone else’s work.”

The album also features two other guests: ISIS/Palms’ drummer Aaron Harris on the track An Unfamiliar Reflection Activates A Gate (https://youtu.be/-Jw1WfmX4wo) and newcomer, singer Sara Kendall on Time Splits Every End.

Surachai’s most recent release, the 2016 album ‘Instinct and Memory,’ has been praised across a wide spectrum of outlets, with XLR8R saying his music is “conjured from a deep knowledge and relationship with machines, machines that in this case sound like they are let off the leash to run wild across a desolate, apocalyptic sonic landscape. Post Punk said Surachai’s releases are “always dangerous, never predictable,” while No Clean Singing described his technique of layering samples with guitar and various electronics “creating an almost symphonic atmosphere.”
