goodbyemotel Release Wish Your Way EP

Melbourne’s goodbyemotel have released their new EP, “Wish Your Way”, which was recorded by legendary producer Julian Medelsohn (Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Page, Pet Shop Boys) and is now available for free download on the band’s website.

Following their showcase at CMJ, the band have been preparing to tour the US for the remainder of 2011 to promote the new EP and head back into the studio to record their sophomore album. The album will be the follow up to their self-titled debut from 2010. Acclaimed artist Storm Thorgerson, the designer behind the stunning Pink Floyd album covers is now on board to create its artwork.

The ‘Wish Your Way’ EP is available now through Nice Bike Records. Check out the video for the track, ‘Redroom’ below where they are sounding kind of Interpol-esque at points but tad more poppy.

An Horse Play CMJ 2011

An Horse will be return to New York for the first time since the release of Walls, their sophomore LP out on Mom + Pop. They play their CMJ showcase at 7:30 this Saturday night (Oct 22) at the Highline Ballroom, before wrapping up their fall tour the next night in New Haven, PA.

Walls earned excellent reviews from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Alternative Press, Blackbook, Pitchfork, while touring non-stop the past seven months, hitting Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. They have been extremely busy to say the least. November-January will give the Aussie duo a chance to recharge their batteries before returning to the road for further live dates.
