Total Slacker seem to be the busiest band in lo-fi indie rock these days with release of a cover track, two 7″ singles and USA tour.

Total Slacker will release two new 7”s this June. The first is titled “Brain Slime” which will be released digitally worldwide on June 15 via Japan’s Sixteen Tambourine Records. It will be limited to 300 physical copies which will be pressed for the June 20th release (200 Japan / 100 US).
Brain Slime 7” Tracklisting:
Side A
Brain Slime
Soft Serve Maybelline
Side B
Todd P’s Weed
Total Slacker have been Culture Addicts faves since they released Thrashin’ and Secret VHS Collection. The single is pure lo-fi genius in the vein of Sonic Youth and Brain Slime is the standout track with a catchy, twangy guitar riff and sing-a-long friendly strangely harmonic vocal. I will definitely be trying to get my hands on this 7″.
The second is the Friend Crush 7” split with fellow Brooklyners Friends will be out in late June on Sixteen Tambourine Records. We will definitely be posting more about this release when the info comes in.
