Music Video Addiction: Sunday May 13, 2012 Edition

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there…we dedicate this edition to you even though it is not playing mother themed videos. Take a listen / view this week’s videos and make sure to share and / or leave a comment if you like what we delivered to you this week. We hope you enjoy the tracks as much as we did.

Grimes: Nightmusic ft. Majical Cloudz - new Grimes vid…so good.

Howler: This One’s Different - a bucket of blood can do wonders for a vid treatment

Danny Brown: Jay Dee’s Revenge - Danny’s tribute to J Dilla.

Modeselektor featuring Thom Yorke: This - cool and eerie track.

Sorry for the limited amount of videos, but Youtube was acting funky and we had to cut a couple out until next week. Thanks for watching this edition. We’ll be back again next Sunday to offer up some more videos for your eyes and ears, so pop back in again for more music vids and look back in the archives for older editions.

Thanks,
Cameron from Culture Addicts

SBTRKT Remixed By Thom Yorke?

SBTRKT will release a new 12″ on May 8th through XL for his track ‘Hold On’ featuring a remix by mystery remixer SiSi BakBak which is rumoured to in fact be Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. The digital version will be out this coming Monday. A Beggars Group publicist could not confirm that Sisi BakBak is in fact the Radiohead frontman.

So is the rumour in fact true? Here’s the evidence for you to ponder…

  1. KEXP 90.3 FM host Cheryl Waters claimed that the remix was by someone who will play Seattle’s Key Arena in April, and Radiohead is playing the venue on April 9.
  2. Rob da Bank from the BBC tweeted, “listening to the thom yorke mix of @SBTRKT for the 18th time…unbeatable!”
  3. SBTRKT remixed Radiohead on TKOL RMX 1234567, and could Thom Yorke be returning the favour?
  4. The track sounds kind of like Kid A-era Radiohead.

Take a listen decide for yourself – rumour or not?
