Music Video Addiction: Sunday January 15, 2012 Edition

It is freezing in Toronto today and I am hiding inside enjoying some music videos. I wanted to share some with you to help warm you up if you are in a cold place as well. Hope you enjoy this week’s picks.

Austra: Spellwork - they are back with a new video.

Trust: Bulbform - check them out before they blow up after Coachella.

Modeselektor: Evil Twin - kind of Spy vs. Spy-esque.

Royal Baths: Black Sheep - art cool.

Superchunk: Crossed Wires - one of my favourite videos from last year.

Steezo: It’s Your Turn - a retro hip-hop classic.

Thanks for watching. See you again next week…make sure to spread the word by sharing the music video picks with your family and friends.

Thanks,
Cameron from Culture Addicts

New Music: Trust – Bulbform

The Toronto duo, Trust, have announced their signing to Arts & Crafts. The band is Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski and they boast their self-described sound as “speed, space and tears.” The band posted its new single, “Bulbform”, available now for free download at ttrustt.com. An official video for “Bulbform” as well as announcements surrounding physical releases should be expected in the coming weeks. They also plan to release their debut full-length in 2012.

After releasing their debut 7-inch “Candy Walls” earlier this year on U.S. imprint Sacred Bones, Trust quickly gained high acclaim with Stereogum and The Fader who quickly picking up the track and hailing them as a band to watch during SXSW 2011.

The band made their Arts & Crafts live debut at Pop Montreal yesterday at Casa Del Popolo, but will also be playing the following additional dates.

09/30 Toronto, ON / The Drake Underground (Bulbform 12″ release) ^
10/28 Toronto, ON / Sound Academy *

^ w/ John Maus
* w/ Death From Above 1979
