The dream-pop duo from Taos, New Mexico — Tan Cologne — are back with something celestial. Lauren Green and Marissa Macias have just shared a reworked version of their track In Resin, reimagined by none other than Danish producer Trentemøller. It’s a sonic match made somewhere between desert haze and Nordic noir — and it absolutely floats.
The rework breathes new life into the closing track of their latest album ‘Unknown Beyond,’ out now via Labrador Records. It’s a track that already carried serious cosmic weight, but Trentemøller gives it a pulsing new dimension — the kind of sound you want to get lost in on a midnight drive through a dreamscape.
“We feel our music is a communication,” the band shared, “and we are honoured to continue ‘In Resin’’s sonic conversation with Trentemøller.” The collaboration came about after the Danish producer connected with their music a few years ago, and the rework was completed while they were touring Europe together. The timing? Aligned. The vibes? Transcendent.
And while this new version of In Resin is out floating through the ether, Tan Cologne are keeping things grounded (but still magical) with a run of live dates in their home state of New Mexico:
Live dates:
July 26 – Taos, NM @ Solar Center (with Gold Celeste, Vinyl Williams)
Aug 1 – Santa Fe, NM @ Marigold Room
Sept 11 – Taos, NM @ Taos Center for the Arts (with Diatom Deli, Luke Schneider)
Their third full-length album ‘Unknown Beyond’ is a stunning, meditative trip. Written and recorded in solitude at their home in Taos, the album dives deep into themes of grief, spiritual connection, and the unseen signals that guide us through life. It’s textured, tender, and beautifully otherworldly. Think: hypnotic beats, ghostly guitars, atmospheric layers, and vocals that drift like smoke.
It follows their earlier records ‘Cave Vaults on the Moon in New Mexico’ and ‘Earth Visions of Water Spaces’ — both conceptually rich and rooted in their signature blend of ambient psych-pop and desert mysticism.
Tan Cologne continue to be one of those bands that don’t just make music — they channel it. From ancient ruins in Italy to satellite dishes in Taos backyards, every sound they craft feels like it comes from another dimension.
In Resin (Trentemøller Rework) is out now. Put on headphones, close your eyes, and float.
