New Album Drops This September via Howlin’ Banana, Idiotape & Ganache
Marseille’s own Technopolice are back with another jagged bolt of garage-punk madness. Their new single, Sortir le Soir… (translation: “Going out at night”), is a careening, sweat-soaked anthem that taps straight into the chaos of the after-dark spiral—when the party starts to feel more like a compulsion than a choice. The track arrives ahead of their upcoming debut LP, dropping this September via Howlin’ Banana Records, Idiotape, and Ganache Records.
Following the frantic punch of their first single Hellastic Mr Pox, this second taste doesn’t let up. Technopolice are charging full speed into a new wave of punk that’s fast, loose, and proudly off-center. Think R.M.F.C., Prison Affair, Gee-Tee, Autobahns—all wrapped up in a distinctly French filter.
This isn’t your older sibling’s punk band. These four Marseille misfits—pulled together from French underground staples like La Flemme, Flathead, and Avenoir—hit the scene in 2024, sparked not by hype but by witnessing a few unforgettable gigs. Inspired by the bubbling garage and egg-punk scenes erupting out of Australia, Germany, and Spain, they decided to throw their own sonic Molotov into the mix. And it’s working.
Sortir le Soir… is a high-speed meditation on nightlife’s dizzying feedback loop. When the ritual of going out becomes just that—a ritual—what’s left of the magic? Technopolice doesn’t answer so much as they drag you back onto the dance floor, blinking in strobes and drenched in adrenaline.
The music video, co-directed by the band and Arthur Mollo, captures that same electric instability. It’s raw, DIY, and totally captivating—just like the track itself.
If you’re into wiry riffs, punchy rhythms, and punk with a joyful glitch in the matrix, Technopolice should be on your radar, stat.
