More about The Blowies? The swirl of mass media, political intrigue, evolving technology and “likes” of the last few years have turned our world into one of the extremes. Faster than you can say whiplash, we’ve already been consumed by the latest scandal, crisis or moral indignation. This rollercoaster ride has wrought a cascade of absurdities and a punk act whose very mission is to call them out one-by-one in the only apt way imaginable; via absurdity. Ladies and Gents, one and all – The Blowies!

Formed in Austin – Texas, Tucker Jameson and Samuel Thompson met in 2015 on the astral plane performing in other musical projects until the deafening political climate made them realize that their words could not be withheld and The Blowies were born. Armed with a sharp wit and the basics (guitars, drums, bass), the duo express their ideas bluntly, humorously and enthusiastically.

The band’s forthcoming debut EP The Blowies Care’ was recorded at Jim Eno’s (Spoon) studio Public Hi-Fi, mixed and engineered by Max Lorenzen and mastered by GRAMMY nominee Jeff Lipton at Peerless Mastering. The record delivers high energy punk-rock that is guaranteed to stick in your head like “gum on yer boot.”

Peppered with not-so-subtle innuendos and catchy melodies, there are no subliminal messages in this delivery – just two amigos with a voice.  The Blowies are here to make some noise and keep you second guessing.
