The Gooch Palms

The Gooch Palms have shared their infectious brand of good-time garage rock on raw new duet Are We Wasted? and announce their third studio album ‘III’ which will be out May 10th. You can check out the video via YouTube below.

Full of pounding drums, fuzz-filled chords and an upbeat, catchy melody – it’s everything that makes The Gooch Palms great. The single captures the best of the duo’s notoriously wild live shows and is sure to be dancing around your head for days.

Of the album songs Are We Wasted? holds a special place in Leroy Macqueen’s heart “This was one of the most enjoyable songs we’ve ever written and it’s one of my personal favs. It’s also super fun to play live!”

Are We Wasted? follows on from poppy, feminist punk tune Busy Bleeding featuring TOTTY’s Kelly Jansch, ode to the supernatural Marfa Lights and most recently good-time hit Summertime. All three blistering anthems will feature on their third album out via their fresh new label Ratbag Records/BMG.

Late last year the band joined their friends DZ Deathrays for their killer triple j Like A Version of ‘Loveshack’ which quickly became a fan favourite, clocking over a combined 390,000 views to date. View it here.

After touring the globe extensively and earning cult followings in every city, they’ve returned to our golden shores, new album in tow.

The Newcastle natives have a busy month ahead; taking their killer dance infused garage rock to a surely sold out crowd when they launch the single at Cherry Bar on Saturday February 23rd, before crossing shores once again to play a coveted spot at SXSW. They’ll then continue their reverb soaked journey on a two month, 35+ date tour around the rest of the US and Canada.
