The Tiny Record Shop presents themed vinyl exhibitions this winter

Toronto’s The Tiny Record Shop located at 804 Queen Street East has revealed details of a series of vinyl exhibitions planned throughout the winter – more details are provided below.

The Music of The Smiths – January 13 to January 18

TRS - The Smiths

Celebrate The Music Of The Smiths. The Tiny Record Shop has every 12″ and LP from the iconic-Manchester band on display and for sale at the shop including some very hard to find rarities. I will definitely be checking this out and hopefully filling out some more gaps in my Smiths collection. Here’s one of my early faves by the band.

Nineties Week – February 3 to February 10
The Tiny Record Shop looks back on an era when Compact Disc was the ruling format and vinyl was near death. Come check out The Tiny Record Shop’s finds from what is now a highly collectible era.

Japanese Week – March 3 to March 10
The Tiny Record shop have been working hard to collect beautiful Japanese pressings of some of your favourite records. Japanese vinyl is of the highest quality and often comes in sleeves printed on higher quality paper with dual language lyric inserts in Japanese.

More about The Tiny Record Shop? The Tiny Record Shop is owned by Trevor Larocque and his partner Maude Fallon-Davesne, and caters to the city’s music lovers with a curated selection of new and vintage vinyl from around the world. As residents of Toronto’s “East End” they wanted to contribute to their neighbourhood in the same way that Larocque’s acclaimed record label Paper Bag Records did in the early 2000’s.

They boast a selection of essential vinyl releases from the 1950’s through to this week’s newest sounds. The shop’s selection will impress fans of country, soul, reggae, blues, classic and indie rock alike.
