Montreal duo Valleys revealed the second single, Hounds, which is lifted their upcoming album, ‘Are You Going To Stand There And Talk Weird All Night?. The digital single features a remix by WMX and is available today via iTunes and Spotify.

Listen to the haunting and beautiful Hounds below via Soundcloud.

Valleys Hounds coverOf Hounds, Tille Perks says, “The song is loosely based on an ‘I Ching’ reading I threw after some of my friends and family members died in unrelated accidents around the same time. Though I asked about something frivolous, the response I got was: You are drowning. But don’t despair; there are more important things than life.”

Are You Going To Stand There And Talk Weird All Night? will arrive in stores April 30 via Kanine Records. Recorded and co-produced by Valleys with Alec “Orson Presence” Dippie, of the legendary British post-punk group The Monochrome Set.

Valleys have been previewing songs off the new album on the road the past month including performances at the SXSW Music Conference, Canadian Music Week, supporting Fol Chen and upcoming dates with Suuns and Besnard Lakes – see a list of full dates below.
