White Lies share new track ‘Believe It’

White Lies have shared their latest track Believe It alongside its lyric video. Speaking on Believe It, the band explain; “it’s about types of therapy, seen from a shifting perspective of those passionate towards it, those skeptical of it, and those out to make money from it. We wrote it mid-way through the sessions and it became an instant favourite of ours, it’s a four-minute “no nonsense” singalong with lots of ingredients we’ve used before so we hope our fans will love it.” You can watch it via YouTube below.

To be released on February 1, 2019 through [PIAS] Recordings, their new album ‘Five’ sees the trio return following its predecessor, 2016’s ‘Friends,’ while marking the tenth anniversary since they formed. ‘Five’ sees the West-London trio scaling new creative heights with re-energized confidence. The landscape has drastically changed over the past decade, contemporaries have come and gone, consumerism constantly evolving but White Lies fans have remained as fervent and committed as ever both in the UK and internationally.

As the band explains; “This is a mile stone record for White Lies. It marks our decade as a band, which has pushed us to expand our sound and reach new territory artistically – it marks the start of a new and exciting chapter for us.”

Written and recorded on both sides of the Atlantic (guitarist and vocalist Harry McVeigh resides in San Francisco) the band paired up with Ed Buller, engineer James Brown (Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters) in Los Angeles and London and saw Alan Moulder on mixing duties. Bolder than previous outings, Five arrives spanning new creative heights amidst an ever-evolving musical backdrop providing an insightful, intimate, and at times very personal slant lyrically. A couple of tracks also feature synth and keyboard contributions courtesy of renowned producer Flood.

White Lies are: Harry McVeigh (lead vocals, guitar), Charles Cave (bass, b/vocals) and Jack Lawrence-Brown (drums)
