A Collaboration Born from Mutual Admiration
‘Water Season’ began when Winter and Hooky, longtime admirers of each other’s music, connected online and started exchanging ideas. The first spark? A track called Horseshoe.
After moving from Los Angeles to New York, Winter took a trip to Philadelphia in the summer of 2024 to visit Turner and Silbert. What started as an online creative exchange quickly turned into a true friendship. The trio spent the entire day writing together, blending their unique sounds into something entirely new.
Winter’s love for dreamy, otherworldly textures met Hooky’s digital edge, shaped by Philadelphia’s vibrant shoegaze scene. Their music became a seamless fusion of lo-fi, indie, and electronica—where lush melodies meet raw experimentation, sampling, and guitar-driven atmospheres.
The result? A sonic reflection of shifting seasons, capturing the bittersweet transition from late summer into fall—fleeting, beautiful, and deeply immersive.
