Debut album ‘See You at the Solipsist Convention’ out now via Joyful Noise Recordings
The unlikely but electrifying duo of Kristian Dunn (El Ten Eleven) and Damon Che (Don Caballero) is hitting the road for a West Coast tour in support of their debut album, ‘See You at the Solipsist Convention’.
What started as a bold experiment in musical matchmaking—courtesy of Joyful Noise Recordings founder Karl Hofstetter—quickly became an inspired collaboration. After countless texts, song sketches, and one fateful studio session, Yesness was born.

Yesness: A Collaboration That Shouldn’t Work—But Absolutely Does
What happens when you introduce a virtuoso bassist with a limitless creative drive to one of the most legendary, technically precise drummers in math rock? You get Yesness—an instrumental duo that defies genre, expectation, and even logic.
Damon Che’s mind-bending polyrhythms meet Kristian Dunn’s relentless sonic experimentation, creating a sound that’s both highly intricate and wildly unhinged. ‘See You at the Solipsist Convention’ is a maze of eight-string bass riffs, off-kilter percussion, and intricate syncopation, a playground for fans of post-rock, prog, math rock, and beyond.
Despite coming from different musical worlds, Che and Dunn quickly found common ground—not just in their love for musical absurdity, but in their commitment to pushing boundaries. What began as a single email exchange in April 2023 has turned into an album, a tour, and an entirely unexpected creative partnership.
“Yesness is a testament to the weird and wonderful ways human connection shapes music. None of this happens in a vacuum. We are nothing without our collaborators, our friends, our record store clerks, our local scene. And now, Yesness is bringing that spirit to the stage.”
Catch them on tour and experience the chaos, the precision, and the undeniable energy of Yesness live.
