Yukon Blonde have revealed their new track I Wanna Be Your Man today on Consequence of Sound. The track comes in anticipation of the band’s third LP, ‘On Blonde,’ set for release on June 16 via Dine Alone Records.
‘On Blonde’ builds on Yukon Blonde’s reputation for seamlessly crafted pop songs with infectious melodies and hooks, while experimenting with psychedelic, digital, and synthetic sounds. It is an album gazing wistfully away towards the more shadowy elements of pop production, soft synthesizers, thin punching bass lines, crushed drums, 80’s cosmic pop compositions and saturated psychedelic guitar effects.
Produced by Colin Stewart (Black Mountain, Dan Mangan, Sleepy Sun) and mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck, Foster the People, Air, Depeche Mode) the album is distinct in its shimmering pop production and Yukon Blonde’s trademark hard-hitting choruses.
Yukon Blonde will head out on a U.S. tour with Chappo this summer – more information below.
