Farveblind dial into the chaos + joy on new single ‘Micro Pleasures’

Copenhagen trio Farveblind are zeroing in on the small sparks that keep us going. They’ve shared Micro Pleasures, the title track from their hotly anticipated debut album, out May 15 — and it’s a sweaty, confrontational rush of club energy with something sharp to say beneath the strobe lights.

Built on a relentless four-on-the-floor pulse, driving bass, and widescreen strings that feel like they’re hovering just above the dancefloor, Micro Pleasures taps straight into late-90s club euphoria while keeping one foot firmly in the present. Think the physical intensity of Underworld, the industrial edge of Viagra Boys, and the forward momentum of The Chemical Brothers, all pulled into Farveblind’s own volatile orbit.

The track features Copenhagen artist Sebastian Monti, whose vocal cuts straight through the noise. Lyrically, it takes aim at ego, entitlement, and the neat little boxes modern life keeps trying to push us into — a rejection of performative individuality in a system built on survival mode.

As Monti puts it:
“It’s the anger towards ego idiots fitting nicely into boxes this capitalistic society made for them and then feeling unique and entitled. Just live and let others live. No-one cares about any single thing anymore. It’s all about surviving.”

The single also soundtracks a pivotal club scene in the new film Shelter, starring Jason Statham, which feels fitting — Micro Pleasures thrives in dark rooms, loud systems, and moments where everything else drops away.

The upcoming album ‘Micro Pleasures’ was produced by Farveblind themselves and mixed by Gustav Brunn (Yung Lean, Viagra Boys), and it’s stacked with collaborators including Django Django, k.flay, Elliphant, USERS, Foreign Air, and Emmeline. Despite the long guest list, the record never loses its centre — instead, it feels like a collage built from genuine connections made through touring, festivals, and shared scenes.

Earlier singles have already hinted at the album’s range:

  • Natural Behaviour with Emmeline’s shadowy, skittering vocal
  • Salary Man, a snarling acid-techno takedown of office culture featuring USERS
  • Battle Lady-Like, a feverish clash of noise and emotion with Foreign Air

Together, they paint a picture of a band unafraid to mash punk volatility, rave nostalgia, and industrial precision into something that hits hard and lingers.

Farveblind describe the album as “an ode to the small glimpses of happiness you find in the otherwise oppressive mundanity of modern life” — fleeting joys that double as coping mechanisms and quiet acts of resistance. It’s an idea that runs through every beat of the record.

Already known for live shows that blur the line between club ecstasy and total chaos, Farveblind have been turning heads at Roskilde, Reeperbahn, and Eurosonic, quickly earning a reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting new live acts. A European tour with ROMES this February only cements that momentum.
