For Nina are back with the delicate and dreamy ‘Labour Of My Love’

Dublin trio For Nina are kicking off 2026 the right way — with a new single that’s equal parts fragile and fierce. Labour Of My Love is their first release of the year, and honestly? It hits different.

If you’ve been following their rise, you already know these three don’t like to repeat themselves. Previous singles Hounds and Swallow showed a band comfortable jumping between bouncy indie-pop and heavy, immersive shoegaze — and that restless energy hasn’t gone anywhere. But Labour Of My Love finds them in a quieter, more deliberate headspace. Written in a garden on a summer morning, the song thrives in that space between softness and tension — weightless on the surface, simmering underneath.

The band put it simply: “The song clicked so quickly once the bones were there, it felt like there were such obvious dynamics up and down in the song, both emotionally and musically, we couldn’t help but surrender to them.

That instinct — surrendering to the song’s own gravity — is exactly what makes it work. There’s real confidence here, a step forward from a band who are clearly learning to trust their instincts.

Building Real Momentum

It hasn’t just been happening in the studio. For Nina recently turned heads at Borderline Festival, sharing a bill with Bleech 9:3, Adult DVD, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Courting, and DEADLETTER — and holding their own with ease. Along the way they’ve picked up early love from Rolling Stone UK, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, RTÉ, and Hot Press, which is a pretty solid start for a band still early in their journey.

With spring live dates across Ireland and their first London shows on the horizon, the trio are clearly in it for the long game.
