Brighton four-piece Canned Pineapple have returned with Little Things, a slab of scuzz-pop that wastes absolutely zero time making its case. After nearly a year away, the band come back swinging — and from the sounds of it, they’ve spent that time getting sharper.
Produced once again with their go-to collaborator Tom Arthur Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, The Bug Club, Panic Shack, Do Nothing), Little Things is all gritty guitars stacked high, driving drums, and the kind of effortlessly catchy vocal hooks that get lodged in your brain whether you invited them or not. There’s a garage-rock rawness to the production, but underneath it all sits a very clear love of ’60s rock — anthemic, immediate, alive. The track even pivots mid-way into a more reflective middle eight before charging back into a frenetic, high-octane finish. Classic structure, no filler.
The band put it best themselves:
“Nothing is out of sight for Canned Pineapple in 2026 — same rock, different roll.”
Fronted by Cork native Seán Drury alongside guitarists Oakley Gardiner and Gabe Rice, and drummer Charlie Pringle, Canned Pineapple have been quietly building one of the most passionate fanbases on the Brighton scene — festival slots at The Great Escape, Truck, Y Not, and Left of the Dial will do that. Radio X and BBC Radio 6 Music have both been spinning them, and the press has been firmly on board too — Rolling Stone UK, Clash, Dork, NME, and Notion among those keeping tabs.
