Minneapolis dream pop five-piece she’s green are closing out the lead-up to their new EP with a stunner. Close Your Eyes is the final preview of ‘Swallowtail’, due July 10, 2026, via Photo Finish Records — and it might be their most transportive track yet. Inspired by a recurring dream featuring a mysterious stranger, the song wraps warm, lush riffs around Zofia Smith’s dissolving vocals like a slow descent into deep sleep. An official music video drops today, recreating Smith’s blue-tinged vision of a life shared with someone who may not exist.
“‘close your eyes’ is about a mysterious person who kept recurring in my dreams,” explains Smith. “In those dreams, we shared a life together by the ocean. Waking up and realizing they weren’t real left a lasting impression on me, leaving me wondering about our connection to our dreams, how my mind could have created this person, or if I knew them in a past life.“
‘Swallowtail’ is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Chrysalis’, and the two EPs are set to form a full-length together. The new EP has been rolling out in fine form: Empty House arrived with a band-directed video examining life’s constant state of ephemerality; Paper Thin dove into the tension between love and lust over soaring reverberation; and Mettle channeled a grim world into hope via thunderous riffs and reverb-soaked guitars. It’s a tight, cohesive run of singles, each one pulling you deeper into the band’s forest-moss world — inspired as much by Slowdive and the Cocteau Twins as by Tolkien and Miyazaki.

The band kicked off 2026 with a fully sold-out headlining run in China — their first-ever dates there — followed by the premiere of their debut KEXP session, which DJ Cheryl Waters called “Absolutely beautiful.” NME and Alternative Press have both recently named them a Band to Watch. They’re out on the road now supporting Turnover and Narrow Head across North America, with a headline Bonnaroo appearance on June 13 before wrapping the run in late July. After a breather, they’ll head to Europe for first-time appearances at Reading & Leeds and a run of headline club dates.
