Age Of Consent announce new single Heartbreak

Age of Consent

Age of Consent announce their new single, Heartbreak, which will be released on June 11 via Inside Animals Records on CD and digital download. Heartbreak is the follow-up to the London based duo’s debut single, The Beach. Heartbreak is a dark and very danceable track.

Heartbreak is an after-dark hymn to a long-dead love affair. The track looks back to the rhythms of Heaven 17 and Blancmange and mixes them with jagged synths and catchy melodies to create something new. The song takes it’s inspiration from the death of loved ones and reimagines the loss as the harrowing end of a relationship.

Age of Consent produced this single along with previous collaborator & producer, Luke Smith who has previously worked with Depeche Mode and Foals. Included on the B-Side is their cover version of Suicide’s ‘Ghost Rider’.

Age of Consent are Joe Reeves and Darren Cullen. After meeting at Glasgow School of Art they moved to London to make music and produce remixes for the likes of La Roux, Gary Numan and The Toxic Avenger.
