Continuing to showcase the early years of the band, Ash have shared a new video montage for Kung Fu, the first track on the band’s debut album ‘1977’ in 1996. The single’s artwork featured the now infamous Eric Cantona kung fu kick – when Man Utd visited Crystal Palace – and has since remained a live staple that still sees audiences across the world launch into requited adolescence.

Ash have also announced an appearance early 2020 when they play as guests of Absolute Radio at a special show alongside Stereophonics at London’s O2 Forum on January 21st. Tickets are in sale now at www.absoluteradiotickets.co.uk.

Kung Fu prompted a run of classic tracks and saw frontman, singer and songwriter Tim Wheeler – still only at the tender age of eighteen and still at school – hailed as songwriter of some note. The video features the band wide-eyed and innocent both on stage revisiting the adrenaline-fuelled excesses of the live performance beside reportage shots from visits to far-flung and hitherto unvisited countries…

Watch the new video featuring remastered audio via YouTube below.

‘Teenage Wildlife‘ documents the recorded output, both the hits and lesser known gems from their twenty-five years as a band whilst highlighting one of the era’s most accomplished and enduring songwriters.

Curated by the band, ‘Teenage Wildlife:25 Years Of Ash’ features Tim Wheeler (vocals, guitar)Mark Hamilton (bass), Rick McMurray (drums) and Charlotte Hatherley (guitar).
