Beware of Darkness release new video for ‘A Stranger Saved My Life’

Beware of Darkness

SoCal based soulful indie band, Beware of Darkness, have released a cathartically reflective track A Stranger Saved My Life via Bright Antenna Records. The track is lifted from their ‘Sanctuary Season’ mixtape, which is available to fans for free via Soundcloud. However, if fans want to further support the BoD then they can also get it on iTunes. A Stranger Saved My Life nostalgically captures frontman Kyle Nicolaides as a young boy sporting a superman costume back in grade school. As lyrics question what to say, what to do, and how to handle a difficult crossroad in life, the home-like video reminds us that we can be our own superhero when faced with life’s “kryptonite”. Beware of Darkness puts away the Howlin’ Wolf-like blues guitar riffs for a moment to pair a beautifully simplistic melody with a clear focus on how we are the ones in charge of our own destiny.

“There are events and moments in your life that will be tragic, but so unbelievably freeing, and sweet at the same time. And it’s strange and uncomfortable, but it just comes as part of being a human.”

Beware of Darkness made their debut in 2012 when they were asked to open for Tegan and Sara, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, and Deftones. In May 2013, Beware of Darkness released their first full-length album ‘Orthodox’. Comprised of bassist Daniel Curcio, drummer Tony Cupito, and front man Kyle Nicolaide’s, the band has toured the UK and played across the USA and Europe as main support for Smashing Pumpkins as well as Jane’s Addiction at Uproar Festival.
