Blanck Mass shares “Genesis Breyer P-Orridge remix

Blanck Mass, the solo project of Benjamin John Powers of Fuck Buttons, hands over one of the highlights of his album ‘Dumb Flesh’ for remix treatment by none other than the legendary Genesis Breyer P-Orridge working on a remix of No Lite. I had a feeling that it would have been approached from of Psychic T.V. / Throbbing Gristle. P-ORRIDGE takes the original for a ride in Timothy O’Leary’s “Dream Machine”, twisting the industrial throb of the original into a galloping hallucinatory ride through tripped out voices, “weird old English penny whistle” and peak-time techno tropes.

Power said of the project: “With her being a hugely important innovator who constantly challenges pop culture, I was very excited at the prospect of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge working on a remix of No Lite. I had a feeling that it would have been approached from an interesting angle and the results do not disappoint.”

No Lite (Genesis Breyer P-Orridge Dream-Machine Mix) will be released as a limited mail-order/ U.K only one-sided 12”” on October 9, 2015 via Sacred Bones Records – pre-order here.
