Canadian Music Week announces first round of showcasing artists

Canadian Music Week (CMW) has announced the first 100-showcasing artists for the 34th instalment of the festival. Featuring Canadian acts Midday Swim, Curses, The Wet Secrets, XYLØ, Model Aeroplanes, Death Valley Girls, Spook School, Victoria+Jean and more, the 2016 edition will happen May 2 to May 8. The industry conference will take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel (123 Queen Street West), and will host the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards on Thursday, May 5. The Canadian Radio Music Awards luncheon will take place on Friday, May 6, followed by one of Canadian Music Week’s most anticipated events, CHUM Fan Fest and finally capping off the weekend with The Indie Awards on Saturday May 7. To view recently added 2016 speakers visit: cmw.net/conference/speakers
