Ever wanted to say Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllantysiliogogoch and actually mean it? Das Koolies are here to help—with beats, synths, and a bit of Sesame Street flair.

Electro-adventurers and Super Furry Animals offshoot Das Koolies are back with Ogov Gôkh, the final single lifted from their second album, ‘Pando,’ which is out now. And in true Koolies fashion, they’re not easing into it—they’re throwing Wales’ most iconic and brain-bending place name into a pulsing, party-starting anthem.

Say it with us now… slowly…
Llan-fair-pwll-gwyn-gyll-go-ger-y-chwyrn-drob-wllan-ty-silio-go-go-goch.
It’s less of a word and more of a linguistic rollercoaster—and now it’s a hooky, cosmic jam.

This isn’t just some cheeky nod to the Welsh language. There’s a deeper, fuzzier thread here too. It’s been 30 years since Super Furry Animals dropped their now-legendary Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllantysiliogogogochynygofod (In Space) EP—yes, that was the actual title—and this new single feels like the spiritual sequel, wrapped in synths and steeped in surrealism.

It’s a gift to the world,” say the band. “We’ve Sesame Street’d it—broken it into four easy pieces. You’re welcome.”

Ogov Gôkh is the final single lifted from ‘Pando,’ the follow-up to 2023’s genre-hopping debut, DK.01. Previous singles like the breakfast buffet banger Som Bom Magnifico and the electro-gospel White Star hinted at what’s to come, while the ambient swell of Thoughtless showed their softer, spacier side. The result? A 12-track trip through synthy psych, electro soul, and the kind of playful weirdness that made them legends in the first place.

Recorded in their Cardiff studio hideaway—tucked into the ex-industrial edges of the city—Pando is out via Strangetown Records and Amplify Music, and will be available on all your favourite formats: vinyl, CD, cassette, digital… even mind’s eye, if you meditate hard enough.

If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know Das Koolies first surfaced in 2020 with the aquatic wig-out It’s All About The Dolphins, selling out its debut 12” in a flash. Since then, they’ve been popping up with experimental EPs and mind-bending live sets at fests like Green Man, Manchester Psych Fest, Sŵn, and more.

Now, with ‘Pando’ looming large and Ogov Gôkh still echoing in your ears, the time has come to fully dive in. Whether you’re a longtime Furry fan or just into psychedelic electro with a Welsh twist, Das Koolies are your next obsession.
