Brooklyn live techno group DUST have released a new video for their recent track, Trespass Against Us, in support of their headlining slot on Unter’s Halloween party in Bushwick. Check out the Facebook event page here and watch the video below via YouTube.
The video features singer Greem Jellyfish in a wire costume inspired by the Triadic Ballet of Bauhaus by Oskar Schlemmer in Germany circa 1922, plus a rag-tag crew of at least ten or so dancers all dressed in white and white face paint to resemble galactic dust. It was filmed during their recent live performance in support of Detroit techno godfather Juan Atkins on July 4th eve this year.
Unter’s party, titled BOMB THREAT, is bombed-out-basement themed, replete with camouflage netting, rubble and costume suggestions such as “G.I. Joe, the Zombie Edition” and “Bomb Shelley, the Sexy Bomb”. The location is currently secret, but has been aptly dubbed “Dekalbistan” by the promoters (assuming it will be somewhere near the Dekalb L train).
The performance in the video was a special one-off production for that show, and with the foreboding setting of this upcoming show, the Halloween performance is sure to be an entirely different experience.
If you want to pick up a copy of the track, it’s available on 12″ or digitally here.
