Field Medic is the lo-fi bedroom project of Kevin Patrick. Patrick began recording songs to cassette in his house in 2013 and has released a handful of EPs and one full length through his own label, Sunroom Recordz & Salon. Drawing inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Fionn Regan, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan, Field Medic makes freak folk/post country with an emphasis on fingerstyle guitar and lyrics. He recently got off a short living room tour with Pinegrove and Alex Menne of Great Grandpa, and has shared the stage at past shows with the likes of the Mountain Goats and Lucy Dacus.
His new EP, ‘if i shout that the revolutions in my blind heart have left me on the mend, would i still have to surrender to the tides to exorcise this possession?,’ will be released on May 5th via Danger Collective Records on cassette and digitally (preorder).
