Chicago-based no wave/post-punk band Ganser have announced their ‘You Must Be New Here’ EP (which will be out Nov 8th via Bandcamp – pre-order it here).
They have also shared the band-directed video for the EP’s lead single Buio. It’s an intuitive song about the relationship between author and audience, and the video clip details an uncomfortable dinner party encounter – there is something so satisfying about killing the mood of a party, and the fight for agency amidst chaos is a recurring theme on the EP. Working with longtime collaborator Brian Fox, Ganser is now joined in co-production on the EP by Mia Clarke, previously of Electrelane.
