Ireland’s Gilla Band (FKA Girl Band) have shared a new track and video, Post Ryan lifted off their upcoming album ‘Most Normal,’ out October 7, 2022. Post Ryan is the album’s electrifying closer, in which the beat has been taken from ‘I Ran’ by Flock of Seagulls, the band quote saying ‘We thought, that’s a really great, immediate pop-sounding beat, let’s start there and go somewhere else – to have that immediacy, and then abstract out from there.’ Watch the video for Post Ryan via YouTube below

They have also announced a US tour for February 2023, see details below.

On the track Dara says “I wanted to write something direct, something that wasn’t abstract and surreal,” he says. “I took the track home, built a melody and then just started writing these very kind of blunt lyrics, which I’d never done before. I was afraid of what everyone’s reaction would be – I had to leave the room when they were listening to it. But it’s probably my favourite track on the album. It’s an uncomfortable listen, for me, but I like it a lot.”
