Alternative pop solo artist My Pleasure has released his covers of Got to Get You Into My Life and For No One, ahead of his reimagining of The Beatles’ ‘Revolver’ in its entirety (out March 5th, 2021).
My Pleasure says: “I tried to channel ABBA on Got to Get You Into My Life but it ended up…not like ABBA. For No One is a straight-forward cover, with little 1980s Casio keyboards. During the intense My Pleasure Does Revolver Focus Groups, these two tracks came out on top, so it’s entirely possible that it’s all downhill from here.”

This release follows two albums of original material (‘Domestic Bliss’ and ‘Mostly Happy’ in 2017 and 2018) and well-received EP ‘Three Singles and a Bonus Track’ in 2019. Hull-born My Pleasure describes himself as “almost pop”. Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) referred to his material as “terrific observational pop music”, and BBC Radio Humberside said that the works of My Pleasure are “among our favourite songs on the planet”. ‘Revolver’ is a love letter to The Beatles and looks ahead to new original material from My Pleasure in 2021/22.
