Melbourne, Australia-based electronic artist Harvey Sutherland has returned a new track Superego, which is out now via Clarity Recordings.

Superego is a back-to-basics machine funk stepper. Produced in self-imposed confinement at his velvet-lined studio bunker, Harvey gives the band some time off and goes inside his own head for a while. File this one under: Neurotic Funk. Take a listen to the track via YouTube below.

Recent single Amethyst – a spiritual jazz collab between UK saxophonist Nubya Garcia – was described by the Guardian as “The latest twist in the eclectic Australia producer/musician’s winding path. A shift into blissed-out, graceful jazz and drum’n’bass-inspired rhythms” while Clash Magazine called it an “adventurous post-bop melody that epitomises the song’s search from something new.”
