FLOOD magazine<\/a> – the new media property from the editorial team behind FILTER magazine \u2013 have announced the first-ever FLOODfest, taking place in Austin, Texas, during SXSW. Hosted at the centrally located Cedar Street Courtyard, FLOODfest will carry on FILTER\u2019s legacy of Cedar Street SXSW showcases\u00a0with\u00a0some of the festival\u2019s biggest names like Spoon, Run the Jewels, The Ting Tings, and Best Coast, as well as buzzed-about up-and-comers Courtney Barnett, Viet Cong, Metz, and many more. The full line-up is below.<\/p>\n

Partnerships with Lyve, Seagate, Burton, KCRW, Oxfam, and more offer attendees a range of perks. Day party title sponsor, Lyve, will be on hand to help festival-goers capture and share their favorite FLOODfest and SXSW moments, also teasing several new features of their innovative cross-platform photo and video service. The Lyve app is available free across all app stores, and offers users the ability to experience a lifetime of photos on their phone – no matter the capacity. Additionally, prominent Los Angeles-based public radio station KCRW will be broadcasting live from FLOODfest. Jason Bentley and Anne Litt will co-host broadcasts during Morning Becomes Eclectic on Friday, March 20 from 11am – 2pm and Saturday, March 21 from 2 – 5pm, offering music fans nationwide a line in to the festival.<\/p>\n

FLOODfest will feature\u00a0international showcases with\u00a0bands from The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. Additionally, American bands nationwide can enter Ernie Ball\u2019s Battle of the bands for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to SXSW to play a slot at FLOODfest.
